A forest education trail
A FOREST EDUCATIONAL TRAIL runs around the lake. The trail starts at the forest road above the fishing lodge and forms a circular route through the forest to Bukovnica Lake and back to the starting point. The trail is approximately 1700 meters long, easy to walk, with only 42 meters of elevation difference. Along the way, there are 6 information boards providing basic information about the forest educational trail. The trail is suitable for individual visitors as well as groups. It is an ideal outdoor classroom for nature science days.

The Friendship Park
Located in the area of the Slovenian–Hungarian green border between Žitkovci in the Municipality of Dobrovnik and the Hungarian village of Bödeháza. The park was officially opened in 2014 during a ceremonial event as a symbol of connection between the people and cultures living in this region.
Its purpose is to promote friendship, cooperation, and mutual respect, while serving as a place where history, nature, and human connection come together.
Visitors can enjoy the peace of nature here while also reflecting on the importance of building bridges between communities and maintaining friendly relations across borders.
A special attraction of the park is the sculpture Borderless Bird, which represents freedom. It was created from remnants of barbed wire that once formed part of the Iron Curtain between the settlements. The sculpture symbolizes overcoming borders, the connection between people and nations, and the power of peace, cooperation, and friendship.

Our library is not your ordinary one – it’s a space for calm and an escape from the everyday rush. The fresh forest air, birdsong, and the rustling of leaves will provide the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable reading experience. The library operates on principles of trust and respect. You take a book, browse through it, read, and return it to the shelf. Each user is responsible for maintaining order and cleanliness. If you have books at home that are no longer needed, feel free to bring them and share them with others.
